SEQUIM, WA — Security Services Northwest (SSNW) and Fort Discovery are proud to announce that the United States Air Force has officially approved the 2026 Unity of Effort event for Air Force participation eligibility, including potential military flybys and helicopter static display support during this year’s event scheduled for August 8, 2026, in Sequim, Washington.

The approval was issued through the United States Air Force Aviation Support Branch following review of the formal aerial event application submitted for Unity of Effort 2026. While final aircraft participation remains subject to operational availability and mission requirements, the event has now been recognized as eligible for official Air Force support consideration.

Unity of Effort has become one of the Pacific Northwest’s premier public safety, military appreciation, and community outreach events, bringing together military units, law enforcement agencies, emergency medical services, first responders, and private security professionals for a day dedicated to honoring service and strengthening community partnerships.

“This is outstanding news for our community and everyone who has worked tirelessly to grow Unity of Effort over the years,” said Joe D’Amico, President of Security Services Northwest. “The opportunity to potentially host Air Force aircraft, crews, and aviation assets alongside other military and emergency response partners continues to reinforce the importance of honoring those who protect our nation and communities every day.”

According to the approved event concept, Unity of Effort 2026 is expected to feature multiple military and civilian aircraft platforms, static displays, emergency response demonstrations, military and law enforcement vehicles, vendor exhibits, food vendors, live music, children’s activities, K9 demonstrations, and community outreach booths.

The event will again be hosted at Security Services Northwest Headquarters and Fort Discovery in Sequim, Washington, utilizing a professionally coordinated helicopter landing zone and a controlled public access area, both designed in cooperation with the FAA and local authorities.

Unity of Effort has been organized annually since 2001 and serves as a public event honoring military personnel, law enforcement officers, emergency medical responders, firefighters, dispatchers, and security professionals throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Additional announcements about participating aircraft and event details are expected to be released throughout the summer as confirmations are finalized.
